EdMagZ Geometry Module MG1: Basic Geometric Constructions helps students explore the foundational concepts of geometry through hands-on magnetic manipulatives designed for classroom whiteboards and student workspaces. Students build, move, label, and revise geometric diagrams as they investigate points, lines, rays, planes, congruent segments, bisectors, angles, complementary and supplementary relationships, vertical angles, and introductory coordinate geometry concepts.
Using magnetic points, line segments, arrows, congruency markers, right-angle markers, and a magnetic protractor, students actively construct and analyze geometric relationships rather than simply viewing static textbook diagrams. The module supports both teacher-led instruction and collaborative small-group activities while reinforcing geometric vocabulary, notation, measurement, and visual reasoning skills.
